If you are considering having your child attend a school within the district that is not your neighborhood school, you must complete an In-District Transfer/School Choice Request. If you are interested in more than one school, please fill out a separate application for each school that you are requesting. The school choice application period for the 2017-2018 school year is December 1, 2016 – January 23, 2017. Late applications will not be accepted. The application period will open at 8:00 am on December 1st and will close at 4:30 pm on January 23, 2017.
Approval & Commitment Letters or Denial notices will be sent out on or around January 30, 2017 for middle and high schools. Please be sure to sign and return the Letter of Commitment by February 10, 2017 to guarantee your seat at the school of choice. Failure to return the letter of commitment will result in lose of placement at requested school.
If your child is not currently enrolled in the School District of Waukesha, please go to the Enrollment Office located at 222 Maple Ave, 53186, to start the enrollment process. All enrollment information will be sent to the school of choice once you have been approved to transfer. This does not need to be done prior to filling out the In-District Transfer/ School Choice application but does need to be during the months of December and January.
