Gretchen McCaulley - AHS Counselor for 9th-12th grade students with last names from O-Z.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from Peru State College, Peru NE in 2010 in Liberal Arts, focusing on English, Psychology and Criminology. During that time, I worked with teens involved in the court system. It was this experience that led me to become a school counselor. I earned my Master’s Degree in School Counseling in 2014 from University of Nebraska-Omaha. I relocated to Arizona, where I spent three years on the Navajo Reservation as a high school counselor (Ya’at’eeh).
I moved to Georgia in June 2017, and brought with my beagle/lab April, and my cat, Ally. I enjoy all the hiking north Georgia has to offer. I am excited to be a part of Bartow County and Adairsville High School.
“In my world there are no bad kids; just impressionable, conflicted young people wrestling with emotions and impulses trying to communicate their feelings and needs the only way they know how” (Janet Lansbury)
