AMS 8th grader selected by Piccolo Spoleto

Ashlyn Dunn, an 8th grade student at Alston Middle School, has been selected to participate in this year’s Rising Stars Piccolo Spoleto Program.

The goal of Rising Stars Piccolo Spoleto series is to provide artistically talented youth of South Carolina with a high profile performance venue that recognizes their exceptional talent.

Ashlyn will read selections of her creative writing during the 2017 Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC, on June 9th at 4pm at St. Matthews Lutheran Church Auditorium, which is located in downtown Charleston on the corner of King and Vanderhorst Street across from Marion Square.

The selection process was arduous with a large number of talented young people auditioning.  We are very proud of Ashlyn’s creative accomplishment!
