In a rapidly changing world, it is the responsibility of educators together with parents and community members to produce young citizens that are productive in today’s society. In order for our students to become productive and responsible members of society, they must develop problem-solving skills, technology skills, and acquire a positive attitude toward learning.
We must ensure that all students will develop an understanding and appreciation of the values of society and of citizenship, of diverse cultures, and of environmental issues. To the full extent of their individual abilities, all students should complete their public education and receive a high school diploma. We must academically prepare them to attend college if that is their choice.
In recognition of the fact that the education establishment cannot by itself achieve its goals, parents and community members must be actively involved in the direction, progress, and encouragement of the education of their children at all levels.
