Bryant Signs with North Greenville University

Hemingway High School’s Micah Bryant signed with North Greenville University on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, as a recipient of a full academic and football scholarship. 

 

 

As a defensive linebacker and offensive running back, Bryant has received multiple awards and recognitions for his performance on the football field.  He was named to the All Region Team, the WBTW Channel 13 All-Blitz Team, the WPDE All-Zoner Team, the All-State 1A Team, and was selected as a participant in the North-South All Star Game.  Bryant also received the Palmetto of Champions 1A Lower State Lineman of the Year Award. 

 

 

His statistics at both the defensive and offensive positions are impressive.   Among these stats are four defensive touchdowns, a total tackle count of 152.5, nine offensive touchdowns, and total rushing yards of 681 yards on 57 carries.  

 

 

Bryant is also an accomplished student scholar at HHS.  He is in the top 10% of his class and was selected as a Marshal during his junior year.  

 

 

He is the son of Chantaun and Victor McCullough.   Coach Greg Lawson serves as head football coach and athletic director at Hemingway High School, and Dr. Gerard Edwards is the school’s principal.
