HHS Holds Beta Club Induction Ceremony

Hemingway High School held its National Beta Club Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in the school gymnasium.   Four students were inducted at the candlelight service:  Terances Laws, Taylor McCullough, Santwan Nelson, and Bryanna Williams.  During the program, the guest speaker was Dr. Gerard S. Edwards, Hemingway High School’s Interim Principal.  During his remarks, he shared valuable advice with the students and guests, including the importance of focusing on one’s strengths.  He also discussed how success isn’t a solitary achievement but is made possible with the support and encouragement of others.  He reminded the students to take the time to show their appreciation to family members, teachers, and others who have helped them succeed. The advisors of the club are Sharon Dukes, Doreen Green, Donna Palmer Lewis, Dr. Tara Richardson, and Betty Sellers.
