HHS Receives ExxonMobil Foundation Donation

Hemingway High School Interim Principal Dr. Gerard Edwards announced that students at Hemingway High School would benefit from a donation of approximately $500 from ExxonMobil Foundation and Tiger Mart Stores. The donation was made possible by Exxon Mobil Foundation and the local Tiger Mart Stores. This donation will be used to improve mathematics and science education at Hemingway High School. The Exxon Mobil Foundation has a strategic focus supporting education with an emphasis on math and science in the United States. In 2015, together with its employees and retirees, Exxon Mobil Corporation, its divisions and affiliates, and the ExxonMobil Foundation provided $268 million in contributions worldwide.

"I want to thank Tiger Mart stores and Exxon Mobil for their donation to Hemingway High School. It is truly an example of the great things that can happen when we develop partnerships with our local businesses. In a time of budget crunches and economic recovery, this donation will help assist our teachers to provide quality mathematics and science education to our students” stated Dr. Gerard Edwards.

“I encourage all supporters of Hemingway High School to visit our local Tiger Mart store on 212 South Main Street in Hemingway, SC and thank them for their continued support of Hemingway High School!” remarked Dr. Edwards.
