Media Specialist: Mrs. Kim Avant
The mission of the Hemingway M.B. Lee Middle School Media Center is to provide quality print and non-print resources for its patrons, to assist its patrons in becoming effective users of information, and to foster the love of reading.
The media center serves grades 6-12 and is located in the M.B. Lee Building. More than 9,000 books are available to its patrons, and the media center subscribes to more than 30 magazines. Eleven computer stations are available for student use throughout the day. These computers have various software programs installed.
Students may check out books for two weeks.
Two books may be checked out at a time.
The media center will have to be reimbursed for any lost or damaged books. The cost for all hardcover books begins at $15.00. The cost for all paperback books begins at $5.00.
No further check-outs will be allowed if a student has an overdue book or outstanding fine.
