The number one priority of all schools in Dorchester School District Two is safety and security of our
students and staff. We accomplish this through security plans and safety procedures that are reviewed
regularly and updated when needed. When a tragic event occurs such as the one in Parkland, Florida,
it heightens our awareness of the importance of staff and students being familiar with safety procedures in the event of an emergency situation. We are reminded of the need to always remain vigilant of what is happening in our community and in our buildings. Local law enforcement and our school resource officer, J. Ross, are valuable partners for the overall safety of our campus. They assist us in reviewing how we respond and prepare for dangerous situations. As we encourage our students and staff to report concerns about safety or potentially dangerous situations, we hope that you will talk with your child about these important issues. Our goal is to work with our staff, students, and parents in maintaining a safe school environment. If you have any questions, contact our front office at 843-873-4851 to speak with Officer Ross, Mrs. Sieber or Mrs. Hodge.
