Hello parents of Plainfield North High School (PNHS).
My name is Ross Draper, the principal of PNHS. It is an honor and privilege to be able to lead such a wonderful building. I would like to welcome the incoming freshmen and any new students and parents entering North this fall. I am looking forward to another exciting year of learning, growing, and working with our students, staff, and you.
My goal is to make sure all students have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential while at PNHS. We’ve all heard the saying that “high school is the best time of our lives.” I feel that this saying could be true for our students at PNHS if they take advantage of all we have to offer here. Students need to have experiences that will allow them to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. PNHS has a rigorous curriculum that prepares students for the next phase after high school, an outstanding Fine Arts program, extremely competitive athletic programs, and numerous clubs and activities for students to be involved in.
Providing an environment that is safe and supportive is the foundation to accomplishing this goal. Building up from the foundation is our staff’s desire to work together with you as a team. Communication is key. I encourage you all to communicate if you have questions or concerns as the year moves forward. The staff at PNHS is here to help, so please utilize us!
The first day of school will be August 17th from 7:05 a.m. - 2:10 p.m. Throughout the year, we will use our school website, ConnectEd system, monthly newsletter, and Listserv emails to provide you with information on upcoming events or other important information. Until then, I hope you are all relaxing, enjoying summer vacation, and are looking forward to a great school year.
Proud to be a Tiger,
