High Reliability Schools Level 2 Certification
Several schools within Los Lunas Schools have achieved a Level 2 certification in Marzano High Reliability Schools. This means Ann Parish, Bosque Farms, Desert View, Peralta, Raymond Gabaldon, Sundance, and Tomé Elementary schools have accomplished "Effective Teaching in Every Classroom," which focuses on the responsibility of school leaders and teachers in ensuring high-quality instruction.
According to Marzano Research, the program was created to help transform schools into taking proactive steps to ensure student success. Based on 40 years of educational research, it uses a five-level hierarchy to assist educators in learning to assess, monitor, and confirm the effectiveness of their schools. Participating schools must master each of the levels to obtain a high-reliability status, where students learn the skills they need to succeed in college, the workforce, and beyond.
"As you move through the levels, it represents a complete transformation in how schools are run," says Chief Executive Officer, Robert J. Marzano.
Schools must collect data and confirm their peformance in order to climb each level of the hierarchy. Certification is then determined by analysts at Marzano Research.
