Dr. Eugene Sires Elementary School is a 4K-5th grade school nestled in the heart of Dorchester School District 2. Sires is named for Dr. Eugene Sires, a devoted educator and principal who served Summerville Elementary School for much of his career. If you remember Dr. Sires, you remember his loving attitude and encouraging spirit. The Sires community will honor his legacy by promoting creative thinking, celebrating diversity, and preparing ourselves for life-long learning.
At Sires, students will not only learn and grow in a nurturing and safe environment, they will also have opportunities to explore their interests. Clubs, activities, parent/PTA nights, and classroom "jobs" will allow students to experience new things, as well as learn new reponsibilities.
