Because we teach our students more than reading, writing, science, math and social studies. We believe teaching faith, service, stewardship and love of Christ least to lasting family values and citizenship on earth and in heaven.

“I was able to join the students here at St. Pius for Eucharistic Adoration. It was wonderful to see the classes come into the church so reverently and quietly to spend time with our Lord. I was grateful for this time of being in the true Presence of Jesus, to Praise, Adore and give Him Thanks. What a 'Gift' Mr. Kaplan and Father Robert gave to the children, parents, and staff that day. Thank You!"-Kathy Brcic

“Throughout my years at St. Pius, I have grown spiritually, academically and athletically. The weekly mass has helped me grow closer to God. The academics here are the reason I am the person that I am today. I have played baseball, basketball, football and improved in all three.” -Blase Haynes 8th grader

  • Our school continues to score higher than the national average on standardized tests.

  • Our students who graduated last year averaged a 3.6 GPA in their first marking period in high school.
  • Catholic schools have a 96% graduate rate nationally and 95% of those who graduate go onto college.
  • Our students who graduate from Powers Catholic High School have a 100% acceptance rate into college.
  • Our students also have the highest ACT scores in the county and college completion rates above the national average.

We judge success based on higher standards. What kind of person will our students become? What kinds of lives will our students lead? St. Pius X provides more than academic excellence. From preschool to high school, we offer unique support, personal attention, faith, service, and a caring community, all of which instills lasting values in students and gives them direction in life. We believe in the Catholic faith, and we open our doors to all walks of faith with a life centered in Christ and service to others.

So if you are looking for a school that sets high expectations, challenges children academically, builds character and instills Gospel values, then enroll your child in St. Pius X Catholic School.

We are currently far exceeding a market study conducted in 2003. Catholic Education is a priority to our families and we have grown.

We are in the boundaries of the Carman Ainsworth School District. Our partnership with them means that they bus children who reside in the Carman Ainsworth School District. We also have 2 Flint busses that bus children to our school. Many times bus routes are not known until late in the summer, but we have Faith that depending on location, your child should be able to ride one of our busses.

The childcare center offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Children here are nurtured and loved while in our care. The center is beautiful inside and children have the opportunity to work on homework, have their own quiet time and play with many of their friends. Our childcare center is State licensed and directed by trained caretakers in Early Childhood Education. While in our care, children are offered numerous activities such as; arts and crafts, band practice, games, outdoor play and sports, coloring, writing, and other motor skills. Our center opens at 6:00 A.M. and closes at 6:00 P.M. There is a registration fee of $20.00 and the cost is $4 an hour and the second child costs $3.50 an hour. Call the school office with any questions.
