Welcome to Vineland High School:
The 2016-2017 school year marks Dr. McCann’s 35th year as a school administrator. He has been a principal for 24 years, the last ten at the helm of Vineland High School. While head of VHS, Dr. McCann has led the school through many transitions and is currently entering his 3rd year as principal of both buildings on the VHS campus.
The one-principal concept that the Vineland Board of Education put into place last year proved to be an effective and successful organizational model. As in the past several years, VHS continues to be absent from the State’s Focus and Priority lists—an outstanding accomplishment for the school.
Most promising for Vineland High School/South is the fact that the new HVAC system is now installed. This has been a long-time dream for many at VHS and in the community. This installation comes at no cost to the Vineland taxpayers and is completely supported by the State at 8.7 million dollars.
Vineland High School is proud that it is instituting dance into the curriculum this school year and building a new dance studio in the Performing Arts’ wing at VHS. This new elective will place the final touches on the comprehensive curriculum in the performing arts department for the students at Vineland High School.
