Welcome to Project TEAMS!
Project TEAMS, Tosa Early Awareness of Mental Health Supports, is a grant-funded project aimed at increasing awareness and decreasing stigma associated with mental illness, as well as connecting adolescents to needed mental health assistance and services.
As part of this project, the Wauwatosa School District, in conjunction with Tosa United and several other community partners, will offer free 8-hour trainings in Youth Mental Health First Aid.
Youth Mental Health Fist Aid is an evidence-based curriculum that aims to teach youth serving adults skills in identifying and responding to youth who may be experiencing mental health issues. Besides increasing mental health literacy, this training also gives youth serving adults the tools needed to connect youth to supports.
