I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Diana Valdez, and I am proud to be your principal at West Brook High School. We have an exciting year ahead! Your child's readiness for college, workforce, or military service upon graduation from WB is my
I have been in education for 22 years. I am married with two grown sons who both graduated from West Brook High School, and three grandsons. I come to you from Hardin-Jefferson High School where I served 4 years as the principal. I hold a
Master's degree in Educational Administration and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
My philosophy is simple. School is not about passing a one-day test. It is about a year of learning. As long as you try and give it your best, LEARNING is the single thing that no one can take away from you for the rest of your life. Excellence
in learning is a lifelong treasure. I hope that in addition to "hitting the books," you also join a team or organization that will afford you the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of West Brook High School. I am always open to new ideas you
may have to collaborate or innovate something exciting for the good of our school.
I have an open-door policy, and you will see me around and about during any given school day. I thank you for the opportunity to be here. Keep smiling, and let's work together to make this year a memorable one.
